Our Journey: UV Tanning to Light Relief

The name “Heatwaves” has been around since the late 90’s, with an elaborate history like no other UV Lighting facility.

In 2015 - 2016, Heatwaves considered these years, “the next generation.” The rebranding of Heatwaves started its transformation by changing the branding to Heatwaves Tanning Kutztown, a division of Heatwaves NG LLC.

In 2017, Heatwaves took its first step into the wellness arena. We added Himalaya Salt Lamps in every room, creating a softer and more relaxing feel for each room. Along with the addition of gentle lighting, Red Light Therapy offered another smooth transformation into the wellness world of UV lighting.

Our plans for 2018, continued our wellness transition, we included new services, essential oils, CBD Hemp Oils, and other health products.

By 2019, there was another rebranding in A New Day Beginning Wellness Center, this new brand took Heatwaves NG LLC to the next level in the world of health and wellness services. Additionally, we added Red Light Therapy and an Infrared Sauna room.

In 2020, A New Day Beginning Wellness Center merged with Heatwaves NG LLC and became Heatwaves Tanning and Spa. Our business is responsible for UV Lighting and Education.

From 2022, 2023, and 2024, the changing economic and social environment inspired us to reflect on the current location and search for potential for growth and expansion. As a company, we felt there were too many limitations at the Kutztown location. Our growth into the health and wellness field required a new location with parking and more space for newer services.
